Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scheduler with a strong background in Simple Cycle, Combustion Turbine (CT/GT), Solar, and Battery (BESS) projects. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to ensure timely execution and alignment with project scope, budget, and risk objectives. This position requires advanced Primavera P6 expertise, strong analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with project controls, engineering, procurement, and construction teams across multiple locations.
This position is primarily remote, with travel required one week per month to Amarillo, Texas, as well as minimal additional travel for site visits or stakeholder meetings as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup phases.
Monitor project progress, update schedules, and perform critical path, float trending, and what-if analyses to identify risks and potential delays.
Support the Stage Gate process by ensuring schedule deliverables are complete, aligned with project requirements, and ready for phase advancement.
Provide schedule forecasts, metrics, and performance indicators to project leadership and external stakeholders.
Work closely with project controls, cost, risk management, and project management teams to integrate schedule data into portfolio-level reporting.
Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports, dashboards, status summaries, and variance analyses.
Participate in change order evaluations, schedule recovery planning, and risk and mitigation workshops.
Ensure all scheduling practices align with organizational standards, PMI principles, and EPC best practices.
Qualifications
10 years of scheduling experience supporting large-scale EPC projects.
Proven background in Simple Cycle, Combustion Turbine (CT/GT), Solar, and Battery (BESS) generation projects.
Demonstrated experience working within a formal Stage Gate or Phase Gate lifecycle.
Expert proficiency in Primavera P6; experience with SAP, Oracle, or other project management tools preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
PMI-SP or equivalent scheduling certification preferred.
