We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to support large-scale capital projects within the utility sector. This role will play a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with effective risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project controls functions across scheduling, cost management, and risk analysis
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, and budgets; identify variances and recommend corrective actions
- Implement and manage risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies
- Partner with project managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to drive project performance
- Prepare and present project status reports, KPIs, and executive-level updates
- Support continuous improvement of project controls processes and tools
Qualifications
- 10 years of project controls experience supporting capital projects- 4 years of experience as a project control manager
- Background in utilities required (power generation, transmission & distribution, or similar infrastructure)
- Strong experience in project scheduling, cost control, and risk management
- Proficiency with project controls tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field
- Experience supporting large, complex utility or energy projects
- PMP or related certification is a plus
