Coad Toyota - Cape Girardeau has immediate openings for Porter-Courtesy Drivers who are outgoing, energetic, and enjoy working with the public. The right candidates will enhance the customers' positive service experience by greeting and transporting them to or picking them up from their homes or offices while service is being performed on their vehicles. This position would be a great fit for a college student looking for part-time work with a semi-flexible schedule or a recently retired individual who enjoys staying active. This is a fast-paced role that will require good physical stamina, as you'll be on the move frequently - walking, assisting customers, and driving throughout the day. The dealership hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Hiring is based on background check, drug screen, and driving record results. Candidates MUST be eligible to be covered under our insurance carrier and are REQUIRED to have a clean driving record. Candidates MUST be able to pass a drug screen to be considered for hire. Saturdays (8A-4:30P) will be required as part of the schedule for these positions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Drives customers to their homes or places of business and picks them up after their vehicle is repaired.
- Uses good judgment and safe driving skills.
- Keeps a timely shuttle route.
- Assists passengers entering and exiting the vehicles.
- Operates a radio or similar device to communicate with the dealership or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
- Keeps a record of trips, including the names of passengers and their destination or pick-up point.
- Notifies dispatcher or service manager of any servicing the shuttle vehicle may require, such as oil changes, tires, cleaning and general maintenance.
- Maintains a professional appearance and customer service-oriented attitude.
- Must follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately report any and all accidents or other driving infractions to a supervisor or manager.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

- Current and valid driver’s license with no infractions that would prevent coverage by our insurance carrier.
- Must maintain insurability under the company’s insurance carrier guidelines.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Ability to work comfortably with the public.
- Ability to communicate customers’ interests, needs, and requests to management and sales personnel.
