The Program Coordinator provides administrative support to the Program Administrator, Nurse Anesthesia Program staff and students on a daily basis. The role of the Program Coordinator is multifaceted and requires a high level of organizational skill. The Program Coordinator in conjunction with the administrative program staff provides the day-to-day oversight required for an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows & maintains= all guidelines and responsibilities set forth by the COA standards, etc. Will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the SNRA office Maintain student applicant files, arrange student interviews and coordinate student application process for interviews in conjunction with the CRNA Program Administrator. Responsible for the administrative (non-clinical) functions of all core faculty, including responsibility for the tracking of all non-clinical time, preparing necessary paperwork for physician payment, and documentation of academic activities. Responsible for (or acts as the) liaison to State and Federal regulatory offices Utilize student call-out forms for all student absences 100% of the time. Student call-out form must be placed in the assistant director’s in-bin (located in the CRNA Program Administrator’s office) by the end of each business day. Process all new student paperwork for our program as well as NBCRNA/AANA. This includes all policies, work-release, physical exam forms, etc Coordinates the tracking of all Students' procedures/interventions, patient care logs, and a listing of critically ill patients seen by a resident within a hospital and our affiliate institution in accordance with COA guidelines Acts as liaison between medical students, residents, candidates, and the hospital facilities Arranges resident/fellow rotation schedules, conferences, seminars, etc. based on the established core curriculum Responsible for correspondence, record keeping and monitoring of the faculty and resident/fellow development process within the department Provides assistance with all research projects, i.e. abstracts, publications, manuscripts, etc. for core faculty, physicians, and students Maintains on-going record of program expenses and distributed detailed report to SLH Administration Processes and keeps records of student and faculty time-off, schedules, time sheets and time summaries, personnel history files, change of status reports, leave of absence records, job descriptions, and other personnel records PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Sitting for up to 7 hour per day, 3 hours at a time, frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequent use of hands; uses upper extremities to rarely lift up to 10 pounds. Occasionally stoops, bends or reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation, seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision, and visual monotony. EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree preferred. Specialized Residency/Fellowship Program management training preferred. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Administrative experience and medical terminology preferred.
