Job Purpose
Indirect Procurement position supporting Logistics operations for transportation and other contracts; including warehousing and yard management.
Key Responsibilities
Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years experience. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree will consider Associates Degree with minimum 7 years experience. Experience must be in Supply Chain and/or Logistics in the transportation industry.
Proficient in MS Office software with advanced skills in MS-Excel.
Ability to travel 10 %.

Job Purpose
Indirect Procurement position supporting Logistics operations for transportation and other contracts; including warehousing and yard management.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiates and analyzes comprehensive logistics RFPs for both transportation (LTL, Open Deck, TL Van, Parcel, Final Mile) and 3PL services that minimize risk and ensure competitive services for the business. Submits analysis of data and recommendations to leadership.
- Sources services through RFQ process for existing and new logistics service providers in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Enter transportation rates into Oracle Transportation Management System.
- Creates Purchase Orders in SAP.
- Serves as an internal escalation point between operations teams, and transportation providers.
- Responsible for vetting potential new transportation providers or 3PLs.
- Create project plans for all bids/projects to ensure timely completion.
- Develops and implements strategies for cost reduction, transportation or service provider capacity, service delivery improvements and process efficiencies.
- Responsible for reviewing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and driving improvements in the carrier scorecard process.
- Conduct business reviews with contracted providers.
- Work closely to onboard transportation providers and ensure shipments are being tracked.
