Job Summary
Metal Fabrication Job Shop is seeking a detail-oriented Assembler / Expeditor to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process by assembling components and ensuring that products meet quality standards. Responsibilities
- Assemble products according to specifications and blueprints, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Accurately pack and ship product on time per the production schedule.
- Operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
- Fabricate components as needed for assembly, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production goals.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the manufacturing facility.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting any discrepancies or shortages in materials.
- Operate forklifts as necessary for moving materials within the warehouse.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in assembly processes.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to assembly tasks.
- Familiarity with working in a manufacturing facility or factory environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification may be required).
- Experience working on an assembly line is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.
