Parts amp; Inventory Coordinator

Job Type: Full-Time - Location: Frierson, Louisiana
CNC Oilfield Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts amp; Inventory Coordinator to manage inventory, purchasing, and parts operations that support our fleet, equipment, and shop maintenance teams. This role plays a critical part in minimizing equipment downtime by ensuring the right parts are available at the right time.
What You'll Do
Inventory Management
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and audits
• Monitor inventory levels and establish min/max stock levels
• Track inventory usage, shortages, and replenishment needs
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve inventory efficiency
Purchasing amp; Procurement
• Source and purchase parts, supplies, and consumables
• Obtain vendor quotes and compare pricing
• Create and manage purchase orders
• Track open orders and expedite critical parts when necessary
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
Receiving amp; Distribution
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments
• Verify packing slips against purchase orders
• Organize and store inventory appropriately
• Issue parts to mechanics and operations personnel
• Maintain accurate parts usage records
Operational Support
• Coordinate with mechanics and shop personnel to forecast parts requirements
• Ensure parts availability for preventative maintenance activities
• Assist with emergency procurement requests
• Support equipment uptime and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience in:
o Inventory Control
o Purchasing
o Warehouse Operations
o Parts Management
o Strong computer and data entry skills
• Experience in one or more of the following industries:
o Oilfield Services
o Fleet Maintenance
o Transportation
o Heavy Equipment
o Construction
• Proficiency with:
o Microsoft Excel
o Microsoft Office Suite
o Inventory Management Systems
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
• Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain)
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of procurement and inventory best practices
• Experience with fleet management or maintenance tracking software
• Understanding of preventative maintenance programs
• Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and industry safety requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organization and multitasking skills
