ARMED SECURITY OFFICER – SPORTS FIELD SECURITY
Job Type: Part-Time (W-2 Employee)
Location: Orlando, FL 32809 – Near Florida Mall
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Pay Schedule: Biweekly

Work Schedule:
Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM (5 hours)
Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM (5 hours)
Thursday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM (5 hours)
Friday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM (5 hours)
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (7 hours)
Total: 27 hours per week
Additional Hours Available: Officers may pick up additional shifts based on availability, up to 40 hours per week. Overtime opportunities may be available with prior management approval.
Employment Classification: W-2 ONLY.
Job Description
CMG Security Services is seeking a reliable, professional, and highly observant Armed Security Officer (Class G Licensed) to provide security at a sports field facility.
The officer will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, supervising activity throughout the sports field, and helping ensure a safe environment for athletes, children, families, staff, and visitors.
This is an active foot-patrol position. Officers must remain alert, attentive, and actively patrol the assigned areas throughout their shifts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the sports field and surrounding areas.
- Maintain a visible and professional armed security presence.
- Monitor activities involving athletes, children, parents, spectators, and staff.
- Observe and report suspicious behavior, unsafe conditions, or potential security concerns.
- Remain attentive to the safety and well-being of all individuals, particularly children participating in sporting activities.
- Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and other designated locations.
- Respond appropriately to incidents and immediately notify management of any concerns.
- Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DAR) and incident reports.
- Follow all CMG Security Services policies and site-specific procedures.
- Remain professional, approachable, and vigilant throughout the entire shift.
Requirements
- Valid Florida Class D and Class G Security Licenses.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong situational awareness and observation skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Professional appearance, attitude, and conduct.
- Ability to interact professionally with children, parents, staff, and visitors.
- Must remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire shift.
- Ability to work independently and follow established security procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous armed security experience.
- Experience working at sporting events, recreational facilities, schools, or family-oriented environments.
- Knowledge of foot-patrol procedures, crowd monitoring, and incident reporting.
