CME Corp’s Biomedical Services Team is looking for a Service Technician to complete their year-long Biomedical Equipment Technician training program and start their career as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to service the Southern New England area. Here is your chance to start a new and rewarding career path and join a nationally recognized medical equipment distribution and services company as a part of their growing Biomedical Services Team. We are a rapidly growing, established service company with service contracts throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete the 1-year Biomedical Technician Training program
  • Complete 320 hours of On-the-Job hands-on training
  • Obtain a Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology certificate through AAMI
  • Repair, install, maintain, calibrate and inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation
  • Complete all required paperwork on new equipment inspections and equipment repairs and failures accurately and on time
  • Properly maintain company issued equipment
  • Stay current with new products and new technologies in the biomedical industry
  • Communicate job status to management
  • 100% field service comprised travel primarily throughout Southern New England and the Greater Boston service territories.

Requirements:

  • 18 years or older
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Demonstrates basic computer literacy (can navigate a user interface, basic working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel, etc.)
  • Demonstrates a mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Must have flexible schedule as starting and ending times vary daily
  • Adaptable and able to respond to changing priorities while remaining focused on results
  • Physically able to fulfill job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs., using small tools and BMET equipment
  • Candidates must be based within reasonable commuting distance of the service area (Southern New England and Greater Boston area)
