What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rolling Mill Equipment Technician position at CMC - North America?
Rolling Mill Equipment Technician
It's what's inside that counts. At CMC, the talent inside our mills, fabrication plants, recycling centers, and offices powers everything we build together.
A day in this role
As the shift kicks off, you review QMOS to plan the next rollings, then head to the roll shop. You’ll clean and inspect mill stands and guides coming off the mill floor, read blueprints to make precise repairs, and prepare guides for upcoming products. When production calls for a changeover, you operate robotics to swap stand rolls and set up mill stands so the next heat runs smoothly. Between builds, you place parts orders in SAP, track spares, and coach teammates to keep the shop organized and on schedule.
