Requirements
Essential Duties:
- To perform the following responsibilities in all areas of production:
- Supply press operators with stock, ink, and various other requested supplies.
- Mount printing plates for current and future orders.
- Retrieve, stage, and put away stock, dies, and various other supplies.
- Maintain and clean print cylinders.
- Help clean presses between jobs at operator’s breaks and at the end of the shift.
- Deliver printed products to appropriate finishing locations.
- Clean printing plates after use and properly prepare for storage.
- Observe/assist with all established procedures for area, including maintenance, color management, and 5S procedures, as requested by operators or management.
- Assist operator in inspecting print quality during print runs.
- To perform the following material handling responsibilities:
- Mix PMS ink/extend 4cp ink to specification, when necessary, and handle ink disposal.
- Utilize forklift to move stock.
- Assist operators in loading/unloading raw, finished, and waste materials.
- Review orders for finishing specifications and verify product with the order to customer specifications.
- Run rewinding and finishing equipment with quality standards, minimal scrap and acceptable productivity levels.
- Inform immediate Supervisor of key issues daily.
- Observe company policies and be a productive team member.
- Slit and rewind stock with precision.
- Keep work area and inventory area organized and clean.
- Meet and maintain all Finishing metrics.
- To remain vigilant for/safeguard against sanitation, pest control and contamination concerns.
- It is the responsibility of all team members to ensure product integrity. Product should be monitored for signs of contamination or quality defect and issues segregated and reported promptly.
- Keep all trash in the production area emptied.
- Flatten all cardboard boxes and dispose in recycle bin.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

- Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, and climbing.
- Required to function in narrow aisles.
