Real Estate Tax Partner

This Tax Partner will leverage their expertise in taxation to deliver compliance and consulting services to our real estate clients. They will apply specialized industry knowledge to guide clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, exploring various methods of complying with tax regulations while serving as the main point of contact for complex tax matters.

In this role, the Tax Partner is expected to actively engage in marketing, networking, and business development within their area of expertise, while also maintaining strong client relationships and addressing intricate tax-related questions.

Ideal candidates will have established, valuable connections within the local business community and a proven history of generating new business opportunities.

Essential Job Duties

• Perform partner level compliance review and tax return signoff
• Handle client consultations on planning opportunities and changes in tax law
• Working on proposals and assisting in developing new business
• Provide expert tax advice to real estate clients, including developers, investors, and property management firms.
• Meeting prospective clients and developing relationships with new and existing clients
• Expanding services to existing clients
• Overseeing all aspects of the client engagement
• Analyze and interpret complex tax regulations and legislation affecting the real estate industry.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize clients' financial positions and achieve their business objectives.
• Lead and manage tax engagements related to real estate, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field
• CPA or JD
• 2 years as a Managing Director at a public accounting firm
• 10 years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
• Experience working with real estate private equity clients is required.
• Experience acquiring new clients and growing a book of business
