Duties
- Assist with the installation and wiring of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings following blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to bend conduit, run wiring, and install electrical components.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Support the installation of low voltage systems and ensure compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Conduct conduit bending, electrical wiring, and system connections as directed by supervising electricians.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures and adhere to all safety protocols on construction sites.
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters and other testing equipment to ensure systems operate correctly.
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems installation, wiring techniques, conduit bending, and schematic reading.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and interpret technical diagrams accurately.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance standards and safety procedures related to electrical work.
- Construction site experience is a plus; candidates should be comfortable working in active environments.
