Position Overview:
- This position suits an experienced legal assistant with a strong background in litigation and family law who excels in fast-paced litigation. You will collaborate with attorneys on complex cases, track key deadlines, and deliver essential support throughout the litigation process.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive litigation support for family law, business divorce, and probate matters
- Draft, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
- Manage court filings (state and local), calendaring, and deadline tracking
- Coordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials
- Assist with discovery preparation, document management, and exhibit organization
- Maintain case files and ensure accuracy and compliance with court procedures
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors
Qualifications
- 4–10 years as a Legal Assistant focused on family law litigation.
- Experience in high-net-worth family law, business divorce, or probate litigation.
- Strong knowledge of Utah court procedures and litigation timelines
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and adapt to shifting priorities with confidence
- Professional, discreet, and client-focused communication style
- Proficiency with legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office
- Collaborative, team player who enjoys camaraderie.
