The Regulatory Specialist will work on the creation of product labels and product communications, documentation, and regulatory related activities as needed.

Summary Of Position
The Regulatory Specialist will work on the creation of product labels and product communications, documentation, and regulatory related activities as needed.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Create FDA-compliant food product labels, incorporating ingredient statements, nutrition facts panels, and allergen statements with proficiency in retail food regulation and guidance
- Review and approve label artwork with a high degree of accuracy, including graphics, formatting, text, and grammar
- Maintain product nutrition and ingredient information, including supporting documents from suppliers
- Identify labeling issues and communicate with the appropriate teams
- Support the Sales/Customer Service teams with inquiries related to products and ingredients
- Provide suppliers and customers with regulatory information through their online portals
- Review product formulas and raw materials for compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assist with the development of product specifications
- Contribute to product related communications with regulatory and nutrition insights
- Assist with the implementation of programs, policies, SOPs, and practices to ensure products comply with regulations.
- Collaborate with multiple functions and support innovation projects
- Participate in GFSI and customer audits
- Complies with all Food Safety Requirements including GMPs when in production areas and reports all food safety or quality issues to the production supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in food science or related discipline
- 1-3 years’ experience in the food industry preferred
- Strong analytical abilities, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Proven Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Knowledge of Food Safety fundamentals
- Ability to interpret and implement regulations and guidance documents
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office required documentation management systems a plus

- Base salary range: $62,000-$83,000
- Position is eligible for an annual bonus.
