A busy and successful Veterinary Practice in Mattoon is in search of an enthusiastic and energetic Kennel Attendant to join the team. If you have the following qualifications, apply today!
As a Kennel Attendant, you'll play an essential part in the day-to-day care of our patients and boarders. You’ll ensure our animals are safe, clean, comfortable, and—most importantly—loved! Shifts are morning and evening, aligning with the times our boarding animals need care.
Key Responsibilities:
● Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and common areas
● Feed, walk, and monitor pets in boarding and hospitalization
● Provide fresh water and clean bedding regularly
● Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report concerns
● Assist with bathing, basic grooming, and handling of pets
● Wash and sanitize dishes, laundry, and animal care equipment
● Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility
What We’re Looking For:
● Prior animal care experience is a plus but not required—we’ll train the right person!
● Reliable, hardworking, and comfortable with physical, hands-on work
● Calm and confident when handling animals of all sizes and temperaments
● Good communication and teamwork skills
● Willingness to work weekends and holidays
Compensation & Benefits
This is a part-time opening with vaired hours depending on availability. Our amazing team members can expect competitive pay! The starting range for this position is $15.
