Job Purpose
The Corporate Accountant assists with accounting matters and financial reports to ensure that all deliverables comply with business needs and external reporting parties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to general ledger accountability, financial reporting, financial analysis, and other special projects as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Complete monthly general ledger entries, reconciliations, and closing procedures leading to the preparation of the financial statements.
- Review, maintain, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and distribute periodic reports including ad-hoc reports as requested and directed by management.
- Perform daily banking activities including issue/resolution, cash balance management, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare, review and process wire and ACH transactions in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits when necessary.

Job Requirements
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Good applicable knowledge of accounting internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Self-motivated, independently able to solve problems and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting
- 1-3 years experience in Corporate Accounting
- Experience with electronic vendor invoice workflows and electronic filing systems preferred
- Experience in CMiC or other ERP systems preferred
