Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated SAT/ACT Test Prep Instructor specializing in Science to inspire and guide high school students through their standardized testing journey. In this role, you will develop engaging lesson plans, deliver dynamic instruction, and utilize innovative learning technologies to help students excel in science sections of the SAT and ACT exams. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive test prep curricula focused on science topics covered in the SAT and ACT exams.
- Deliver lively, interactive classroom sessions that motivate students and foster active participation.
- Incorporate diverse learning technologies and digital tools to enhance understanding and engagement.
- Conduct assessments to identify student strengths and areas for improvement, tailoring instruction accordingly.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and collaboration.
- Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with test standards, curriculum guidelines, and individual student needs.
- Provide ongoing feedback to students on their progress, offering strategies for improvement and test-taking tips.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching science at the high school or adult education level.
- Strong knowledge of math concepts relevant to science sections of standardized tests.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with special education needs.
- Exceptional writing skills for creating instructional materials, assessments, and progress reports.
- Prior classroom experience in a formal educational setting is preferred but not required.
