Club Z! Tutoring of Greater Austin is seeking an engaging, dependable tutor for an immediate in-home placement in Central Austin (78757), with immediate opportunities to take on additional student placements across North and Central Austin to expand your weekly hours.
Current Placement Details
- Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Consistent schedule; Fridays occasionally available for makeups)
- Location: In-home tutoring in Austin, TX 78757 (Brentwood)
- Student: Bright, outgoing 4-year-old Pre-K student focused on early literacy, math enrichment, and kindergarten readiness
- Format: 100% In-Person (Hands-on, play-based learning—no digital/screen instruction)
Tutoring Focus: The tutor will provide individualized, play-based enrichment with emphasis on:
- Phonological awareness, early phonics, and sound blending
- Progression toward simple CVC word decoding and beginning reading
- Number sense, patterns, mathematical reasoning, and early math concepts
- Building confidence, independence, and kindergarten-readiness skills
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with Pre-K, Kindergarten, or early elementary students (teaching, tutoring, or early childhood education)
- Knowledge of early literacy and early math development
- Ability to design fun, play-based sessions using manipulatives, games, and books and enrichment activities
- College degree or current enrollment in education-related coursework preferred
- Reliable transportation to 78757 and 78750 and willingness to pass a standard background check
