SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist / HR Coordinator is responsible for delivering high-quality, consistent HR support within a
distribution center plant environment while coordinating key talent management and HR programs. This role
combines tactical HR execution with structured program management responsibilities, ensuring effective
communication, disciplined process execution, and data-driven decision support.
This position serves as a critical on-site HR partner, supporting both employees and leadership while reinforcing
company policies, improving workforce experience, and enabling operational excellence.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee & Labor Relations Support
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee inquiries, policy interpretation, and issue resolution
- Support employee relations activities including documentation and investigations
- Partner with leadership on attendance, performance, and behavior issues
HR Operations & Administration
- Administer onboarding, job changes, promotions, and terminations
- Maintain accurate HRIS data (Rippling)
- Support audit readiness and documentation compliance
Program Management & Talent Initiatives
- Coordinate HR and Talent Management programs
- Manage calendars, timelines, and deliverables
- Build presentations and track program execution
Communications & Engagement
- Draft and distribute HR communications
- Support employee meetings and engagement activities
Metrics, Reporting & Analytics
- Track attendance, turnover, headcount, and engagement
- Maintain dashboards and provide insights
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure alignment with policies and employment laws
- Support audits and reinforce process discipline
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with manufacturing/distribution center workforce dynamics (shift scheduling, hourly workforce
relations, safety compliance).
- Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, EEOC, etc.).
- Strong HRIS/ATS skills (Workday, SuccessFactors, ADP, Peoplesoft, Rippling, etc.).
- Microsoft office suite
- Data analysis skills (Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools).
- Excellent written and verbal communication and conflict resolution abilities.
- 1-3 years HR experience in manufacturing, distribution, automotive, or industrial settings.
- Participation in employee engagement surveys, diversity programs, or training delivery.
- Exposure to union and /or non-union environments.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related
field. In lieu of a degree, 3 years of HRBP, generalist, coordinator, or project managment roles is required.
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred but not required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office, warehouse, distribution center, and manufacturing environment with some travel. Relocation may be
required.
EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1 year as an HRBP or senior generalist.
Demonstrated success in talent management, succession planning, and change management.
Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial operations is required.
