Clovis Veterinary Hospital, an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital, is seeking an outgoing veterinary receptionist to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital.
In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services and products. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in a team-focused customer service environment.
Responsibilities:
Create a warm, welcoming experience for every client and patient
Build lasting relationships with clients through exceptional communication and personalized service
Greet clients and check patients in and out efficiently
Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and respond to emails and voicemails
Utilize practice software to maintain accurate medical records, create estimates and process payments
Educate clients on hospital services, wellness recommendations, and preventive care
Communicate effectively with doctors, technicians and the client care team
Keep the reception area clean, organized and inviting
Assist with administrative tasks while ensuring a seamless client experience
Qualifications:
Previous customer service representative or veterinary receptionist experience preferred
Outstanding communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to take direction, ability to handle money accurately and honestly
Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive
Passionate about building relationships with clients and advocating for their pets
Available to work full-time, including some Saturdays
Education and Physical Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must have experience working in the public
Dependable attendance is required
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
The ability to walk, bend, squat, stand or reach constantly during an 8-hour day
