Office Manager / Certified Payroll Specialist – Fernley, NV – $30.00–$40.00/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welding Shop Office Manager / Certified Payroll Specialist for our client in Fernley, NV. You will oversee daily office operations, manage certified payroll reporting, support accounting and HR administration, and maintain compliance with prevailing wage requirements. Responsibilities

· Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports, ensuring compliance with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage requirements.

· Process payroll, verify timesheets, calculate overtime and fringe benefits, and maintain accurate employee records.

· Oversee daily office administration, including documentation, scheduling, vendor communication, and purchasing.

· Support accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, job costing, and project expense tracking.

· Coordinate with shop supervisors, project managers, accounting teams, and field employees.

· Maintain employee files, onboarding paperwork, safety records, and project compliance documentation.

Requirements

· Minimum 3 years of experience in office management, payroll administration, or a similar role.

· Hands-on experience preparing and submitting certified payroll reports.

· Knowledge of Davis-Bacon regulations, prevailing wages, labor classifications, overtime, and fringe benefits.

· Experience in construction, welding, metal fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and payroll/accounting software such as QuickBooks, ADP, or Sage.

· Familiarity with LCPtracker, eMars, job costing, and construction accounting is a plus.

· Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

· Ability to handle confidential employee and financial information.

Schedule & Pay

· Shift: Day Shift, Monday–Friday

· Pay: $30.00–$40.00/hr, based on experience

· Employment: Full-Time, Direct Hire
