Title: Lab Maintenance Technician / Electronics Location: Hackettstown, NJ 07840 Duration : Temp to Hire/Full timePay : $20/hr to $23/hr Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pmPOSITION OVERVEW & PURPOSE:A qualified Service Technician candidate is expected to demonstrate dedication to Integrity, Quality, and Innovation by providing unmatched service support, solving problems, and communicating with customers.The Service Technician must be able to follow the internal Good Documentation (GDP) Practices and SOPs when recording and reporting work performed to be submitted upon completion of the service. Accurate and legible documentation is a critical aspect of this role.The primary responsibility of this position is to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and phone or email support on laboratory instrumentation, as well as perform validations in-house and occasionally at customer sites as needed.The Service Technician must be mechanically and electronically inclined. Service Technicians must display a positive, professional attitude and a strong work ethic.Job DescriptionTechnical Service Responsibilities:• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on laboratory instrumentation.• Complete accurate and legible documentation in accordance with internal SOPs.• Provide technical training for new service technicians.• Attend and complete training for preventative maintenance processes and repairs on all instrumentation.• Provide customer support through email or over the phone.• Troubleshooting of circuit boards, using VOM Meters.• Developing and writing technical emails and documents.• Attend assigned training sessions, at the factory or virtually.• Perform repairs, calibration, and validation services at customer sites as needed.Administrative Service Responsibilities:• Daily reporting and updates of assigned service call statuses in SAP and or HubSpot.• Daily reporting of time via ADP.• Inventory management of personal service kits, parts stock, and proper completion of inventory transfers.• Must ensure that tools and standards are within calibration.• Must follow the 5S process to ensure the work area is always clean and maintained.Qualifications• Background in calibration, validation, or Quality Control of analytical instrumentation and test equipment.• Proven service history is preferred, with a strong technical background in electronics.• Ability to read and understand wiring schematics• Working with laboratory instrumentation• General use of hand tools, including digital multimeters and oscilloscopes • Basic to intermediate computer skills, knowledge of MS Office preferred • Preference of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar setting, but not required for the right candidate• Associate degree or equivalent Electronics courses with work in Analog and Digital Circuits is a plus Skills• Proactive to receive continuous training in-house.• Ability to work independently.• Effective communication and interpersonal skills• Performs duties in a positive and professional manner.• Listens to customers and managers to learn and solve problems.Employment Type: Full TimeSalary: $20 - $23 HourlyBonus/Commission: No
