Job Title – Social Worker
Contract – 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours – 36 hrs.
Pay rate - $42/hr. to $45/hr. (With Tax benefits)
Shift – 9 am to 5 pm
Must have - LCSW or LMSW
Location – Goshen, NY

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic environment, providing essential support to individuals and families facing various challenges. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, conducting assessments, and implementing effective intervention strategies to enhance the well-being of clients. The Social Worker will play a critical role in advocating for clients' needs and facilitating access to necessary resources.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling services, focusing on emotional support and coping strategies.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote social interaction and support among clients.
• Work with pediatric populations, addressing their unique emotional and developmental needs.
• Manage cases by coordinating services and resources for clients with developmental disabilities.
• Implement crisis management strategies to assist clients in acute situations.
• Utilize psychopharmacology knowledge to understand medication management for clients when applicable.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and improve service delivery.
• Employ behavioral therapy techniques to support clients in achieving their personal goals.

Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

• Experience working in a hospital setting or similar healthcare environment.
• Proficiency in individual group counseling techniques.
• Strong background in group therapy facilitation.
• Knowledge of pediatric social work practices.
• Expertise in case management processes.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to manage crises effectively while providing immediate support.
• Understanding of psychopharmacology principles relevant to client care.
• Competence in data collection methods for program evaluation.
• Proficient in various behavioral therapy approaches.
