Job Overview
We are seeking a Customer Service Sales Representative to join a growing aerospace manufacturing organization in Meriden, CT. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing orders, quotations, delivery schedules, and account support activities while working closely with production, engineering, quality, and shipping teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts.
• Process customer purchase orders, order revisions, and schedule changes.
• Prepare and submit quotations for products and services.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and lead times with production planning.
• Monitor open orders and provide proactive customer updates.
• Respond to inquiries regarding pricing, delivery, product specifications, and quality concerns.
• Support customer relationship management and account development activities.
• Maintain accurate customer information within ERP and CRM systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve customer issues and corrective actions.
• Assist with forecasting customer demand and identifying growth opportunities.
• Participate in customer meetings, audits, and business reviews as needed.
Qualifications
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years of customer service, inside sales, or account management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, QAD, or similar.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace customer requirements is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Preferred Experience
• Experience supporting aerospace OEMs and Tier One suppliers.
• Familiarity with purchase orders, long-term agreements, and aerospace contracts.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and supply chain operations.
• Experience with quoting, pricing, and customer account support.
Compensation & Benefits
• $28.00 - $38.00 per hour based on experience.
