Position Title: Childrens Center Infant Teacher
Reports To: Director of the Childrens Center
Employment Classification
Type of Employment: Full-Time Support Staff
Length of Agreement: 2,080 Hours Annually

The administration retains the right to change duties at any time.
Responsibilities
v Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all
times.
Be alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals
and
as a group;
v Complete Health Assessment (KDHE required) form provided by the
Director;
v Submit a copy of a TB Skin Test;
v Receive Hep B immunization, if needed;
v Must have a clear KBI/Fingerprint background check (KDHE required);
v Plan, prepare, and implement the general program and learning
environment for children indoors and outdoors. Prepare individual lesson
plans for children six weeks to one year and walking;
v Keep Director informed in advance of program needs;
v Maintain confidentiality of the children, families, and staff of the
center;
v Follow all State of Kansas Child Care Licensing Regulations and OSHA
standards;

v Treat children, parents, co-workers, students, and all that are
affiliated
with the Childrens Center with respect, care, and love;
v Complete and distribute an accurate daily record of each child.
Complete
childrens assessment records and keep childrens files up to date;
v Handle discipline promptly and in accordance with stated policy on
discipline;
v Conduct individual parent-teacher conferences in the spring and fall
semester;
v Supervise teachers aides, and Child Care students in the classrooms.
Complete evaluations when required;
v Supervise and evaluate the work study students;
v Be responsible for menu planning and documentation in the record books
for the CACFP;
v Substitute in other classrooms as needed;
v Regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job is required;
v Bending up and down, sitting on the floor is required;
v Attend all staff meetings. Maintain a minimum of 16 clock hours of
approved KDHE trainings (overnight travel may be required);
v Be able to lift children up to 40 pounds;
v Report to Director any cases of suspected child abuse or neglect;
v Attend regular staff planning and evaluation meetings;
v Write and send home regular Parent Newsletter and daily reports;
v Regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job is required;
v Have the ability to work with diverse populations; and
v This job description in no way states or implies that these are the

duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions
and
to perform any other job-related duties requested by their supervisor.
