Overview:
Location: Hybrid – Albany, NY
Salary: $140,000 - $150,000
We are seeking a System Integration Engineer who will support our NYS client with critical system upgrades, modernization efforts, and Salesforce integrations. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams by gathering requirements, designing scalable Salesforce solutions, and helping ensure seamless system and data integration. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, hands-on Salesforce experience, and the ability to support complex technical initiatives from planning through deployment.
Duties:
- Conduct stakeholder workshops to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into user stories and technical specifications
- Define and implement strategies that support seamless integration of data and application interfaces between business and IT teams
- Configure Salesforce functionality including workflows, validation rules, security models, and flows
- Support development activities involving Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components
- Analyze current-state business processes and identify inefficiencies to design optimized future-state solutions using process mapping tools.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), create test scripts, and coordinate deployments across Salesforce sandboxes
- Perform complex data analysis, build reports and dashboards, and maintain data integrity across systems
- Troubleshoot support issues and resolve complex business and system challenges
- Create documentation including user manuals, process documentation, and release notes
- Provide user support and training related to system functionality and enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies and project lifecycle best practices
- Manage multiple complex projects and system enhancement activities simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
- Salesforce Certified Business Analyst and Administrator certifications
- 7 years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a System Integration Engineer
- 2 years of experience in Salesforce architecture and solution design
- 2 years of experience using Salesforce Service Cloud and CRM
- 2 years of experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Experience, and declarative automation tools such as Flows
- 2 years of experience with Salesforce object modeling, APIs, and data integration patterns
- 2 years of experience using process mapping software such as Visio or Lucidchart, SQL, and data loader tools
- 2 years of experience in Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Conduct stakeholder workshops to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, transforming them into user stories and technical specifications.
- 2 years of experience in System Configuration & Development: Configure Salesforce functionality (workflows, validation rules, security models, flows) and support developers in creating Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
- 2 years of experience in Process Mapping & Optimization: Analyze current state processes to identify inefficiencies, designing future state solutions using process mapping tools.
- 2 years of experience in Testing & Deployment: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), create test scripts, and coordinate deployment across Salesforce sandboxes.
