Regrind Specialist - CFV -09

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead by example supporting company values and ABS principles.
2. Have a high level of safety standards for self and others.
3. Maintain and drive good Housekeeping and 5S practices.
4. Have deep knowledge of product profiles, including different types of plastic and colors for compatibility to meet approved quality standards.
5. Maintain Regrind product and flake inventory levels.
6. Help lead and drive scrap segregation.
7. Reduce waste, ensure product is being saved for Regrind.
8. Consult the Help Chain with quality issues.
9. Lead, run and post daily metrics for regrind utilization.
10. Own a complex regrind process for maximum utilization of product.
11. Communicate issues through the help chain to drive process compliance.
12. Ability to setup, start up, run, adjust, clean out and perform preventative maintenance as well as troubleshoot-regrind machinery.
13. Communicate with Rapid Problem Solvers on shift to drive consumption.
14. Be able to perform all other tasks as assigned by your supervisor
15. Communicate clearly in English both verbally and written.
16. Wear appropriate required safety gear.
17. Must attend work regularly and reliably.
18. Work flexible shifts and overtime as scheduled or directed.
19. Conformance to company performance rules such as work instructions, working standards, policies, etc.
20. Conformance to behavioral rules, expectations, and company policies.
21. Respond to process breakdowns, quality problems and logistic problems.
22. Follow the help chain when unable to resolve problems in the pre-determined time frame
23. identify problems and record on problem solving boards.
24. Make necessary adjustments and minor repairs to manufacturing and auxiliary equipment, including a high under understanding of material blenders, all regrinders, etc.
25. Maintain accurate records, such as scrap/hold labels, shift productions summary, Gaylord labels, and Regrind closure and flake inventory.
26. Provide appropriate communications and feedback to other RPS, support personnel, maintenance, process specialists and supervisors.
27. Create, maintain and improve standardized work practices.
28. Support productivity improvements by team members.
29. Assist in mistake proofing and innovation.
30. Identify improvements to eliminate waste and support daily, weekly and monthly regrind cost savings objectives.
31. Maintain and suggest improvement to housekeeping and 5s systems.
32. Train other Regrind team members and RPS’s on the job.
33. Demonstrate awareness of and compliance with all pertinent safety policies and procedures.
34. Maintain a professional, clean and organized work environment.
35. Participate in work related training programs.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead other Regrind team members to drive safety, quality and maximum regrind consumption.

Educational and Other Skills Requirements:

Not required, but any “Team Lead” or equivalent experience is preferred.

Must have:

• Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Mechanical skills at a level that enables the person in this role to operate the technical processes of the Closure Production Department and its related machinery, including the material blending process, as well as to perform troubleshooting and problem solving for changing over the molding process.
• Be self-motivated with high energy level.
• Lead by example in all areas: procedures, policies, motivation, and attitude in our ever-changing environment.
• Understand the cost saving initiative and must be able to truly own and manage Regrind process, without constant direction.
• Ability to operate an electric walkie and pallet lifter/stacker.
• Be aware of and address issues regarding safety and housekeeping.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to walk a significant amount to cover all Regrind areas. This includes being on your feet throughout the entire production shift.
• Receive passing status on all pre-employment testing.

Work Schedule: flexibility to work 4 on 4 off 7a-7p or 7p-7a , or possibly M-F 8-9 hour, 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd shifts.
