Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to quality control, process containment, and troubleshooting.
- Perform in-process quality inspections on molding, scoring, lining, and printing operations to identify non-conformances.
- Utilize precision measurement instruments (CMM, Camera systems, microscope, and electronic gauges) to conduct quality verifications and analyze data.
- Implement statistical process control (SPC) methodologies, including X-bar & R, histograms, and process capability analysis.
- Document audit findings, analyze defect trends, and recommend corrective actions based on root cause analysis.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by developing and updating standardized work procedures.
- Train and mentor production personnel in quality control protocols, defect identification, and corrective measures. Increase operational efficiency and employee accountability
- Ensure rapid response to quality containment requirements and collaborate with production teams to mitigate defects.
- Utilize quality management tools such as Vision Systems, AAM / Checkmate, and performance tracking systems for process monitoring.
- Conduct quality tiered audits, document non-conformance reports, and track corrective actions.
- Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and QA personnel.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations and corrective action plan implementation.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all quality-related documentation and electronic data entries.
- Assist in maintaining control system (Master Control, Food Safety, AAM and Infinity) for the manufacturing site.
- Lead quality-focused training sessions for production staff and new hires.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving for process deviations and product defects.
- Advanced understanding of quality auditing techniques, manufacturing processes, and statistical analysis.
- Ability to operate and interpret data from laboratory test equipment (CMM, AAM, pull test fixtures, electronic measuring tools).
- Expertise in data visualization and reporting through control charts, graphs, and tiered audit reports.
- Strong analytical skills to track quality trends and drive process improvement initiatives.
Shifts: Second and Third shift available- Hours / scheduling and shift preference can be discussed during the interview process.
Qualifications:
Educational and Other Skill Requirements:
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in quality assurance, auditing, or process control within a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical training or certification in quality auditing preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality deviations and process inefficiencies.
- Effective decision-making skills and the ability to implement process corrective actions.
- Proficient in using statistical analysis tools and quality monitoring systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting findings and interacting with production personnel.
