Closet Factory Fort Lauderdale is a leader in custom cabinetry, closets, and home organization solutions throughout South Florida. We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented CAD Specialists to join our growing engineering and manufacturing team.
Our CAD Specialists play a critical role in translating custom designs into accurate, production-ready plans. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technology, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop valuable technical skills in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications & Skills
- Computer & CAD Proficiency: Strong computer skills required. Experience with CAD, drafting, cabinetry design, or 2D/3D architectural software is highly preferred.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and construction specifications.
- Mathematical Skills: Strong understanding of fractions, decimals, measurements, and dimensional accuracy. Familiarity with both Imperial and Metric systems is a plus.
- Cabinetry Knowledge: Previous experience in cabinetry, woodworking, millwork, manufacturing, or construction is highly desirable.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify design conflicts, resolve technical challenges, and produce accurate work efficiently.
- Communication: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review custom cabinetry designs and prepare accurate, production-ready engineering documents.
- Utilize engineering and design software, including KCD, Cutrite, woodWOP, and DraftSight.
- Ensure designs meet company manufacturing standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, purchasing, and installation teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify and resolve potential production or installation issues before manufacturing.
- Maintain high standards for accuracy, productivity, and project turnaround times.
- Contribute to process improvements and overall departmental efficiency.

Every new CAD Specialist participates in an initial 90-day performance evaluation period, during which management actively reviews technical proficiency, accuracy, productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.

Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Typically 40–50 hours per week
- Overtime and occasional weekends as operationally required
