Senior Project Manager - ADU Express

CLMI Group client, ADU Express Construction LLC, is hiring: Senior Project Manager 

ADU Express is a fast-growing design-build firm specializing in multifamily ADU development across Southern California. Our focus is on unlocking value in multifamily properties by designing and building high-quality Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) efficiently and at scale. Our construction model is built around speed, precision, and repeatable systems. We operate in a high-paced, production-driven environment similar to a factory model, where standardized processes and disciplined execution allow us to deliver projects faster and more efficiently than traditional builders.

The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple ADU construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role is responsible for managing project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

• Oversee multiple ADU construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and overall project performance
• Lead and supervise project managers, site superintendents, and construction teams
• Coordinate closely with the design, permitting, and preconstruction teams
• Monitor construction progress and resolve project challenges efficiently
• Review subcontractor bids and assist in procurement decisions
• Control project costs and approve change orders when necessary
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Implement construction processes and systems to improve efficiency
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards

• Prepare and present weekly and monthly executive reports to company leadership summarizing construction progress across all projects
• Provide reporting on project schedules, construction milestones, budget performance, and overall portfolio status
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including project duration, cost per project, schedule adherence, and subcontractor performance
• Identify risks, delays, cost overruns, and operational bottlenecks and propose solutions to mitigate them
• Maintain portfolio-level visibility across all active projects to support executive decision-making
• Develop dashboards and reporting systems that support data-driven decision-making for company leadership

• 10 years of experience in construction project management
• Experience managing multiple residential or multifamily construction projects simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of California residential building codes and construction practices
• Proven leadership experience managing construction teams and subcontractors
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and deliver projects on time

• Experience with ADU construction or multifamily developments
• Experience in design-build construction environments
• Familiarity with construction scheduling and project management software
