What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Campus Principal position at Clintondale High School?
SUMMARY
The successful candidate will manage the daily operations of the Secondary Campus, to include both the Middle School and High School, and provide a safe and excellent learning environment for all students.
COMPENSATION
Starting at $112,399 as per the Clintondale Central Office Administrators Agreement
To be determined by the Superintendent and Board of Education, depending on qualifications and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interprets and enforces district policies and administrative regulations.
- Leads in the development and monitoring of the instructional program.
- Organizes and administers the public relations programs for the campus.
- Approves the master teaching schedule and any special assignments.
- Prepares and administers the school budget and supervises the school finances.
- Supervises the maintenance of all required records and reports.
- Maintains active relationships with students and parents.
- Supervises all activities and programs that are outgrowths of the school’s curriculum.
- Assumes responsibility for all official school correspondence.
- Serves as a member of such committees and attends such meetings as the superintendent shall direct.
- Keeps the Superintendent informed of events and activities of an unusual nature as well as routine matters related to the supervisor’s accountability.
- Assumes responsibility for his/her own professional growth and development through membership and participation in the affairs of professional organizations, through attendance at regional, state, and national meetings, through enrollment in advanced courses, and the like.
- Establishes guides for proper student conduct and maintaining student discipline.
- Orients newly assigned staff members and assists in their development.
- Conducts and/or designates the evaluations of all staff.
- Supervises all professional, paraprofessional, administrative, and non-professional personnel in the campus.
- Supervises and evaluates the school’s extracurricular program.
- Makes arrangements for special conferences between parents and teachers.
- Provides adequate opportunities for the integration of technology.
- Provides a vehicle for all accreditations standards to be met.
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Administrator certification or willingness to enroll in a program to receive administrative certification.
- Masters degree in Education with emphasis on Administration
- Four years of successful teaching experience
