Summary:
Clintondale Community Schools is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and licensed Cosmetology Teacher to join our Career and Technical Education (CTE) department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching high school students the fundamentals of cosmetology, including hair, skin, and nail care, while preparing them for licensure and careers in the beauty industry.
Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in all areas of cosmetology (hair styling, coloring, skincare, nails, etc.)

Prepare students for state board cosmetology exams and industry certifications.

Supervise and manage classroom and lab environments, including safety and sanitation protocols.

Develop and maintain lesson plans, assessments, and student records in alignment with state CTE curriculum.

Integrate technology and hands-on experiences into instruction.

Collaborate with colleagues, school counselors, and administrators to support student success.

Organize and manage student clinics, field trips, and guest speakers to enhance real-world learning.

Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.

Valid State Cosmetology License

Michigan Teaching Certification/or Annual Authorization in Cosmetology

Minimum [2–5] years of experience in the cosmetology field

Salary and Benefits:
The compensation is outlined in the 2022-24 CEA collective bargaining master agreement.
