School Psychologist – Clinton Middle School (Grades 5–8)
Clinton Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our Clinton Middle School community. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in psycho-educational assessment, data analysis, and collaborative practice, and is committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of every student. Experience facilitating team processes, such as IEP and evaluation meetings, is preferred.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments; prepare thorough written reports that analyze findings, offer diagnostic impressions, and provide educationally relevant recommendations.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted intervention strategies.
- Foster a supportive learning environment by building strong partnerships with teachers, families, and related service providers.
- Participate in school-based meetings and contribute meaningfully to the development of school-wide programs and initiatives.
- Provide appropriate counseling and support to students navigating emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices in school psychology and student mental health.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education and/or the Building Principal.
Salary range: $58,816 - $111,554
Salary is based on experience and in accordance with the Clinton Teachers Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Qualifications:
-Valid DESE licensure as School Psychologist
-Experience working in a middle school setting is preferred.
-Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable
