Part-time School Bus Monitor (AM and PM)

TITLE:                                             Part-time School Bus Monitor                                     

REPORTS TO:                            Director of Transportation                                  

LENGTH OF CONTRACT OR WORK YEAR:             9 months                  

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage student behavior
2. Assumes responsibility for the safety of children on the school bus
3. Make sure students remain seated and adhere to bus rules and emergency procedures
4. Prepare and communicate incident reports with parents and school administrators
5. Maintain student and parent confidential information
6. Help driver maintain a clean bus
7. Any other duties assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 21 years of age or older
2. Able to work early morning and afternoon hours
3. Must pass a background check
4. Meet physical, hearing, and vision requirements
5. High school diploma or equivalent
6. An impartial attitude and good moral character
