What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Specialist position at Clinton Public Schools?

The Math Specialist provides targeted mathematics intervention directly to students, while also coordinating, planning, and refining classroom instructional practices to ensure successful curriculum implementation and alignment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • CT Certification: (013), (305), (005) or other applicable/related certification
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based math best practices and high-quality instruction, with a thorough understanding of the standards for mathematical practices required to drive student growth
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Position Details

  • Start Date: August 18, 2026: New Teacher Orientation, August 19-21: Professional Development, First Day of Classes: August 25, 2026
  • 10-month, school year position
  • Salary and benefits per the Education Association of Clinton collective bargaining agreement

Salary : $52,283 - $107,214
