Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Job Coach at Clinton High School. The ideal candidate will work closely with students to provide guidance, support, and resources necessary to prepare them for successful employment opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- You are at least 20 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Experience in working with people with disabilities is a plus
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
REPORTS TO/ EVALUATED BY:
- Principal
- Special Education Administrator
- Special Education Department Head
- Vocational Coordinator
JOB GOAL: To assist, support, and work closely with students in the school and in the community setting by providing vocational support to prepare students for employment.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of job skills initially introduced and outlined by certified staff.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Assists the certified staff in devising special strategies for finding student strengths and areas to work on in the job setting.
- Help certified staff identify work goals.
- Input/chart specific individual student job performance.
- Serves as the chief source of information to vocational coordinator regarding individual student work performance.
- Alerts the certified staff to any problems or special information about an individual student.
- Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in school environment and community.
- Assist in the recording and/or the collection of data for student records.
- Assist in bus loading and unloading.
- Maintains safe working environment.
- Prompting a student to remain on task.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Approximately nine month working period.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by school personnel.
