What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher position at Clinton Elementary?
Clinton Elementary School is looking for a dynamic Special Educator to join our team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct instruction with students based on IEP goals, in and out of the classroom, in a co-taught classroom,
Plans lessons to be delivered in a co-taught setting in collaboration with the general education teacher,
Act as case manager for students on instructional caseload,
Oversees annual IEP meetings and reports on student progress,
Develops and implements IEP goals and accommodations,
Collaborates/consults with general education teachers as well as related service providers,
Maintains strong communication between home and school, as appropriate,
Uses classroom management strategies to maintain a successful learning environment,
Ensures confidentiality of privileged information,
Knowledgeable of state and federal special education laws,
Conducts appropriate special education assessments to determine eligibility for special education services,
Assists in IEP development, implementation and progress reporting,
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Principal,
Salary based on CTA contract min: $57,663- max: $109,367
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Special Education, Master’s Degree preferred.
Massachusetts Educators License: Moderate Licensure preferred.
Knowledge of the requirements of federal and state regulations.
Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.
Salary : $57,633 - $109,367
