- Summary:** The purpose of this position is to assist the County Planning Director/Planning Department with planning objectives, with an emphasis on the planning, funding and maintenance of County recreation projects. The position also performs the duties of the County Zoning Officer, which enforces zoning for 6 of the 28 municipalities in the County. The work is performed under the direction of the Planning Director.
- Essential Functions**: The following duties are normal for this position. They are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Proficient in the review of subdivision and land development plans.
- Participates in all functions of the Clinton County Planning Commission, including monthly reports.
- Under direction of the Planning Director, the position prepares, organizes, permits, oversees, and implements county and projects and initiatives, as assigned.
- Conducts and facilitates meetings with municipal officials, citizens, contractors, developers, utility and other service providers, for the execution of projects.
- Serves as the County point of contact and authority on all aspects of recreation planning and represents the department on local and regional recreation and tourism committees.
- Acts as Bald Eagle Valley Trail Manager, which includes weekly routine inspection and operations/maintenance of the trail and trail amenities, preparation of the annual budget, working with volunteer train management groups, and solicitation of quotes for trail maintenance projects.
- Prepares grants associated with recreation and tourism projects.
- Provides technical assistance and counter, online, and telephone service to the public.
- Maintains regular and on-time attendance.
- Performs other related functions as assigned or required.
- Administers, interprets, and enforces the Clinton County Zoning Ordinance for the County covered municipalities (6 of the 28 municipalities in the County).
