Research Associate, LNP Formulation & Analytics

Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate for the LNP Formulation & Analytics team. In this role, you will support the development and characterization of lipid nanoparticle formulations for RNA delivery, including work in bioconjugation chemistry and analytical method development. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams spanning formulation, delivery, and immunology to help advance a genetic medicine platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the formulation and preparation of LNPs for RNA delivery applications including mRNA and other nucleic acid payloads
- Assist in bioconjugation experiments including the conjugation of targeting ligands and other functional moieties to LNP surfaces
- Execute analytical assays to characterize LNP formulations including particle size, encapsulation efficiency, and RNA integrity
- Support method development and qualification of bioassays for LNP and potentially monoclonal antibody (mAb) characterization
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records in compliance with data integrity and documentation standards
- Communicate experimental results clearly to internal teams and contribute to study reports
- Adhere to SOPs and laboratory safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support program objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field with 1 years of relevant industry or academic experience
- Hands-on experience with LNP formulation techniques including microfluidics or ethanol injection methods preferred
- Familiarity with RNA handling and nucleic acid delivery systems
- Experience with analytical techniques such as DLS, NTA, gel electrophoresis, or ELISA preferred
- Exposure to bioconjugation chemistry a plus
- Experience with mAb or biologic characterization assays a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized laboratory records
- Collaborative working style with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly evolving environment
