Summary:
The Regulatory Specialist will support environmental health and safety (EH&S) initiatives, focusing on customer support, trade and regulation compliance, raw material data acquisition, and hazard communication. This role involves maintaining regulatory documentation, ensuring compliance with international and domestic regulations, and supporting technical teams in new product development.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to regulatory inquiries and questionnaires from customers, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Maintain and report metrics related to regulatory activities to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Manage global tariff classification, country of origin documentation, and USMCA compliance for products.
- Oversee TSCA certification processes for imports and complete shipper’s declarations for dangerous goods (IMDG, IATA, DOT).
- Review international chemical regulations and define product clearance requirements for various markets.
- Acquire EH&S information for raw materials from suppliers and develop a comprehensive database for global material clearance.
- Generate and update global Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels, ensuring compliance with country and region-specific requirements.
- Maintain the integrity of regulatory data in relevant databases and provide guidance to technical teams during new product development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Chemistry.
- 2-5 years of experience in regulatory (EH&S) roles.
- Experience in chemical compliance or food regulations preferred.
- Previous experience with chemical products, especially performance chemical additives, is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage projects and programs across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong skills in process and procedure improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and CHEMGES or WERCS; SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to work an eight-hour shift in an office environment, with extended periods of computer use; limited travel required.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
