- Current Texas State Nurse Practitioner License
- Current CPR Certification
- New graduate acceptable
- Excellent work ethic, compassionate disposition, and ability to establish positive relationships with both patients and families
- Preform wellness exams. Able to provide a history, exam, and plan of care. Would need to be knowledgeable of preventative cares by age and gender.
- Perform acute visits. Able to see and evaluate acute illnesses and develop a plan of care under the physician's supervision.
- Complete necessary paperwork. Able to complete administrative tasks and paperwork including but not limited to prior authorizations
- Medication prescription. Able to prescribe and monitor medications-not including controlled substances-must know when certain medications require lab or speciality monitoring.
- Able to recognize when specialist referral is needed, when urgent/emergent care requiring escalation to supervising physician or ER is needed.
Additional wants:
- Ability to provide women's health services/exams
- Experience with geriatric patients
- Nurse home experience
- ER/Urgent Care experience
- Knowledge of billing and coding
- Experience with telehealth services
