This is a DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY (not contract).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care to patients ages 55 and up under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to improve patient movement and function, applying exercises, manual therapy, and therapeutic modalities
- Observe patients during therapy, record their progress, and report findings to the PT for review and adjustments to the treatment plan.
- Implement treatment plans prescribed by the supervising PT by performing exercises, stretching, balance training, and gait training
- Apply physical agents like heat, cold, or electrical stimulation to specific muscles or joints as directed by the PT.
Key Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree from an APTA accredited Physical Therapist Assistance program in Physical Therapy
- Active, unencumbered licensure in the state of practice
- A minimum of one (1) year experience working with the elderly
- Bilingual a huge plus
Compensation and Schedule:
- Salary starts at $69K but can be considerably higher based on years of experience
- Comprehensive benefits plan
- Monday-Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM
- Paid holidays and NO weekends
