Our Story
Clinvet South Dakota is a global veterinary contract research organization (CRO) that conducts preclinical and clinical trials to evaluate the safety, metabolism, and efficacy of animal health products. Clinvet SD is part of the Clinglobal group, which focuses on animal health and consists of various CROs dedicated to supporting innovation and product development.
Position Summary
As a Junior HR Specialist, you'll play an important role in recruiting, onboarding, maintaining employee records, supporting HR programs and helping ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. You'll work closely with our management team and employees while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist with recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation and employee documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Prepare HR reports, employment documents, and routine correspondence.
- Support employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, performance management, training, and offboarding.
- Answer routine HR questions and provide excellent customer service to employees and managers.
- Assist with employee engagement, recognition, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Help maintain HR policies, procedures, forms, and compliance documentation.
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Education & Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with 1–3 years of HR experience; or
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience in Human Resources, HR administration, recruiting, onboarding or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with an HRIS or HRMS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices is a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based work with prolonged computer use.
