Job Summary
NCDHHS is seeking an experienced Technical Specialist-Expert / Mainframe Specialist with strong expertise in z/OS, CICS, DB2, Endevor, IMS, JCL, and Elixir. The resource will provide mainframe administration, configuration/release management, troubleshooting, SQL optimization, and technical support to application developers and DIT teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert support for z/OS operating system and mainframe environments.
- Manage configuration and release activities using Endevor.
- Support DB2, SQL development, tools, and utilities.
- Analyze complex SQL queries and recommend performance and cost improvements.
- Provide CICS administration, troubleshooting, and debugging support.
- Collaborate with application developers and DIT personnel on technical issues.
- Support mainframe technologies including CICS, DB2, IMS, JCL, and Elixir.
- Provide middleware and MQ support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience with z/OS and its functionality/interrelationships.
- 7 years of Endevor configuration/release management experience.
- 7 years of SQL programming experience.
- 7 years working with DB2 tools and utilities.
- 7 years evaluating complex SQL queries and improving performance.
- Strong CICS administration, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Note: Candidate must be available for an in-person interview in Raleigh, NC and work onsite.
Salary : $60 - $65
