Job Summary
We are looking for a high character, hard working, dental assistant/receptionist that has a good attitude, is dependable and loves working with kids. Pay is negotiable based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, including preparing prosthodontic materials and assisting with impressions.
- Manage infection control by adhering to aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently within the office.
- Support front office duties as needed, including dental receptionist tasks.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proficiency in dental assisting practices with hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with dental radiograph (X-rays) techniques and the ability to operate related equipment.
- Knowledge of dental software systems such as Dentrix is preferred.
- Ability to maintain organized medical records and manage patient documentation effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
- Aseptic technique knowledge is essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
