Summary Of Position
ABC Kids Instructors create a supportive and fun environment for children to build confidence through bouldering and rope climbing. As an Instructor, you will lead youth climbing classes and camps with participants ranging from age 2.5 to 16, following a prescribed curriculum, with the goal of developing lifelong and passionate climbers.

Qualifications
- Week-day evening availability highly desirable
- Previous experience working in a professional environment with children
- Ability to relate to and have fun with children of all ages
- An understanding of climbing fundamentals
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Punctuality
- Classroom/group management skills
- Must pass a background check
- CPR, First Aid, AED certification (provided upon hiring)
- SafeSport certification (provided upon hiring)
- At least 1 year personal climbing experience
- At least 1 year working directly with children age 2.5-16
- Flexible schedule
- Act as a member of the ABC Kids Instructor staff with a focus on youth climber development
- Promote ABC Kids Climbing standards, procedures, and curriculum in accordance with ABC, PCA, CWA and USAC guidelines
- Have a complete understanding of the ABC Kids Climbing class progression – clearly communicating current and future ABC program options
- Represent the ABC organization as a responsible steward of youth climbing
- Positions start as part-time; 4-16 hours per week with opportunities to grow
- Hourly Rate $16.50 – $20 (range flexible, commensurate with experience)
