The Circuit | Bend Gym Head Setter

Who we’re looking for: A collaborative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for setting, strong leadership skills, and a drive to help lead our setting team. The Head Setter will oversee the setting crew and manage the day-to-day operations of the setting department, while upholding safety standards, encouraging creativity, and maintaining high-quality climbing experiences across all gyms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setting crew through daily direction, support, and quality control
• Manage setting schedules, crew coordination, and department efficiency
• Monitor safety protocols and uphold company policies.
• Collaborate with gym and department managers for youth, comp, and event needs.
• Maintain setting tools, hold inventory, and order materials as needed.
• Track and manage route logs, including wall prep and area rotations.
• Train new setters and help lead staff reviews.
• Communicate regularly with managers on feedback, department needs, and projects.

You Have

• Experience leading or managing a route setting crew
• A strong understanding of gym operations, customer experience, and climbing movement
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• An eye for aesthetics, flow, and progression
• The ability to forerun a wide range of problems and provide thoughtful feedback
• A desire to mentor others, foster creativity, and uphold safety in all aspects of setting
