Eldorado Climbing: Director of Sales

Reports to: CEO

Position Overview: The Director of Sales leads the company’s sales functions, drives revenue growth, helps develop strategic plans, and manages the Sales Team. The Director of Sales helps determine company sales objectives, develops sales plans, and drives the execution of those plans to achieve company goals. Key responsibilities include forecasting, driving client relationships, and performance management.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities

Administrative

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, tactics, and action plans to achieve financial targets.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Works with CEO to establish sales objectives, forecast demand, and develop annual sales quotas and budgets.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage Sales Team to meet or exceed targets.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to refine strategies. Prepares and presents sales reports for CEO and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop brand strategy and communications content and Design Director to provide recommendations on products.
  • Oversees company’s Customer Service efforts.

Sales

  • Identifies leads and opportunities through networking, incoming inquiries, and attending tradeshows.
  • Drives company’s outbound sales efforts.
  • Personally owns sales process, proposal development, and presentations for key clients and projects.
  • Develops relationships with prospects, clients, distributors, architects, and general contractors.
  • Uses consultative selling techniques to identify client needs and presents product options.
  • Works with Marketing to identify and attend tradeshows and other event opportunities.
  • Represents Eldorado Climbing in the industry.
  • Perform other tasks as determined by CEO.

Performance Metrics

  • Achieving/exceeding annual revenue targets.
  • Customer acquisition and retention rates.
  • Pipeline growth and conversion rates.
  • Profitability of sales (gross-profit plans).

Skills / Requirements

  • 5-7 years sales experience with 3 years of management and leadership role.
  • Proven success in B2B and B2C environments.
  • Strong work ethic and leadership skills. Must be driven, hardworking and a team player.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • Climbing industry knowledge and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in CRM software , Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
  • Ability travel up to 20%.
