Position Summary:
Climate Systems, LLC is seeking a knowledgeable Mechanical Foreman with strong mechanical construction experience and a focus on piping systems. This role is responsible for leading crews, coordinating field activities, and ensuring safe, efficient installation of piping in line with project plans and deadlines
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide pipe fitters on work activities.
- Layout and install piping systems.
- Lead pipe fitters during the installation of piping systems and components.
- Read and interpret drawings for pipework assembly.
- Establish and implement daily/weekly and project duration work plans, effectively managing your efforts, laborers, material, and subcontractor control for the project.
- Protect the interests and legal rights of the company during project execution.
- Effectively communicate project-specific needs for laborers, rental equipment, and subcontractor support.
- Assist the project manager in developing detailed and complete scopes of work for contracts issued to subcontractors.
- Identify cost impacts resulting from changes to the project scope and construction schedule.
- Execute labor plans and manpower loading schedules.
- Provide daily oversight of yourself and any helpers or laborers assigned to you.
- Demonstrate a positive, customer-focused attitude for others to follow.
- Maintain a professional appearance by wearing appropriate attire.
- Demonstrate support for companywide initiatives, regardless of opinion.
- Maintain appropriate company confidentiality at all times.
- Protect the assets of the company and ethically uphold the highest standards of integrity in all situations.
- Cultivate and promote a safety culture within the team.
- Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years mechanical construction experience. (AHU, Boiler & Chiller changeouts, and new installs)
- Mechanical piping background preferred with light sheet metal knowledge or experience and light rigging experience.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
- Ability to run a 2–3-man crew
- Proficient in layout and material takeoffs
- Must have valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check
